Artist Research

The most influential artists I have looked at in the past are: Tracey Emin, Louise Bourgeois and Rosa Barba. This research is a continuation from my Foundation FMP research.
Tracey Emin allows me to explore themes that are extremely personal and private. I enjoy the simplicity and outburst in her work and theme.
Louise Bourgeois suggested a rationale for my work- "It is necessary to recreate the past, in order to get rid of it". Her 'cages' were also extremely important in the process of my installation.
Lastly, the Rosa Barba exhibition that I visited was the third important element towards my film, in the way of aesthetic, and actually making a film.

Examples of artists' work:

Other artists I have explored include: Hannah Perry, Frank Auerbach, Christian Marclay and Bruce Nauman.
